Teatro Nucleo is devoted to the social aspects of theatre. Founded in 1978 in Ferrara, Italy, it is recognised as a stable organise by the Emilia-Romagna Region; in agreement with the Municipality of Ferrara it manages a theatre in the outskirts of the city, historically a working class area which is currently confronted with serious problems of job loss, immigration and young people at risk of school drop out.
