Teatro Nucleo is devoted to the social aspects of theatre. Founded in 1978 in Ferrara, Italy, it is recognised as a stable organise by the Emilia-Romagna Region; in agreement with the Municipality of Ferrara it manages a theatre in the outskirts of the city, historically a working class area which is currently confronted with serious problems of job loss, immigration and young people at risk of school drop out.

Here in collaboration with the Municipal District it has created an association of more than sixty residents who become actors and co-authors of shows concentrating on the problems of the neighbourhood. This is possible thanks to the commitment of a large number of volunteers.
